Lake House Ameneties

Our Retreat is nestled near a small town, 30-40 minutes north of Bloomington, Indiana, and an hour south of downtown Indianapolis. accessible to the Indianapolis International Airport. It will take you fifteen minutes to nearby Martinsville for any necessities for your visit. Remember you are in deep woods not surrounded by locale city life. Our Retreat is to escape the everyday and get away. If bugs and country critters are not your thing then ask more questions.

The space
You will be nestled in the middle of hundreds of wooded acres with an 8 acre lake out your back door. Feel free to walk the paths, hike the rugged woods or take a walk by the lake. Get your exercise at the Hilltop Recreation area. There is a fire pit, picnic tables, yard games like horse shoes, corn hole, volleyball, and plenty of open field area for football and softball. Then retire to The Lake House with all the luxuries of the modern life. Enjoy food prepared in your very own chef’s kitchen. Dine a large dining room with room for all your guests, or enjoy quiet dining at the breakfast nook or right at the counter bar while you watch your food being prepared. There is a bar area for entertaining, and a 4 sided fire place to warm you after a long day in the woods. Get your suits ready for relaxing and playing in the heated indoor pool or just float and watch your favorite blockbuster. Wind down for a few minutes in the hot tub and get steamed up in the sauna. If you are not worn out, retire downstairs for a game of pool on an 1947 antique pool table while your family and friends watch a movie in the theater on the big screen (not a streaming theater) Wait, there is more…each wing has its own personal deck overlooking the pool for your morning coffee or just quiet time. Can’t miss your workout routine? Take a trip down the spiral staircase off the master quarters to the fully equipped gym for all your fitness needs.

Guest access
Full use of the house, with exception to a few cabinets and drawers reserved for the owners. The full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen are ready for your stay. You will have complete access to the three car garage for those winter and rainy nights. Please use the washer and dryer to keep your clothes clean. All the showers are stocked with bathing supplies. Enjoy watching TV as the master quarters, pool room and family room are equipped with dish network. The theater room is movie only and we recommend that you bring anything DVD or BLU RAY that you want to enjoy while you are in paradise. We also have movies on site.

We want this to be a memory making experience, not just a place to stay…If we can assist or help, we will go above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be. At Indiana Paradise Retreat you don’t know until you ask.

The Lake House has a three car garage and we allow 6 parked cars in the driveway. Additional parking available Hilltop Recreational Area.

Children allowed: ages 0-17

Events allowed: family gatherings and birthday parties

Pets allowed: dogs less than 50 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total)

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in Lake House.
You can smoke on the decks outside.
Cars can not be parked in front of the main doors by order of the Fire department.

No fire works anywhere on property.

Location
Indiana Paradise Retreat is less than one hour from downtown Indianapolis, and less than 30 minutes to Bloomington. Paragon is a very small old Indiana town with plenty of country charm.

This is a rugged property surrounded by 100’s of acres of trees, hills and remote farm fields. Please understand we share this land with many critters and bugs.

Cleaning practices
High-touch surfaces cleaned with disinfectant.
All towels and bedding is washed in hot water that’s at least 60ºC/140ºF.  Minimum three-day vacancy between guest stays.
